Thank you Cyn and endless for letting me post this...

On March 2nd, I had to send my dog, the best little boy anyone could ask for, to Rainbow Bridge.

With heart failure and cancer, it wouldn't have been right to allow him to suffer when there was nothing that we could do.

So with heavy hearts, and many, many tears...Buddy Van Scoyoc (nicknamed Nutt Nutt) went to Rainbow Bridge.

I miss you just as much today Nutt, as the day I sent you to doggie heaven. I love you!

He indeed was the best little boy and he was spoiled rotten.

I'm so grateful for the years we had with him. According to a friend of mine, Boston Terriers only live to be about ten, so we had him three years longer than we should have and for that, I'll be eternally thankful.

What a beautiful lil doggie GothicScrybe. Its very hard and saddening when you have to let your pets go when you know they are in pain. I am sure that Nutt Nutt will be waiting full of licks and a wagging tail when you do get to see him again. hug

I miss him, but he's never very far. I wear some of his ashes around my neck in a paw print cylinder.

That is such a beautiful idea and I am sure you are always in his as well while romping though the fields surrounding Rainbow Bridge. Smile

I have heard him a time or two and even saw him one night, but it's not fair to ask him to come back and visit when he must be having so much fun at Rainbow Bridge, so I'm happy with those brief encounters until I can see him again.

My little cocker spaniel Barney is 15 this year and he's gone way beyond his life expectation as he's a pedigree. I swear I love my little lad to bits and I cant bear the thought of being without him ever. I would miss the cold wet nose too much.

I would want him to go to Rainbow Bridge and be happy and free of his aches and pains again

Well, when he does go Helen, tell him to look for a large, Boston Terrier that answers to Buddy or Nutt Nutt and he will keep him company until you can be with him again...

He was my baby boy and I do miss him, although I know he is just fine now and having all the fun his heart desires.

While it may take time to heal all wounds...with time the happier ones can come to the forefront and the sad ones, recede a little.
