I'm trying to come up with a good way to write my name since right now my signature looks like chicken scratch. But it seems like it's becoming like that all over america according to teachers and others.

Really, I'm coming up with few sites that actually teach you correct form and style. This one has a lot of information and what not, and this one isn't bad either.

There's really nothing more lovely than an intricate bit of writing. heart heart heart
Even if it's not for everyday use. Though Spencerian Style is a bit more usable.

The only problem I'm getting is that (other than being a lefty and cursive being the bane of lefties) I can't find a good way to decorate what I'm writing/signing.

Can you give any pointers or suggestions?

I can do calligraphy. I was taught by forming each individual letter in a box first and then erasing the box. Sounds complicated to start with but you soon get used to it and speed up.
