Ok so yesterday I was listening to the radio and all everyone could talk about was how amazing and addictive twittering is. The DJ said go to the twitter web sight and follow him. But no one called in and asked what it was and no one explained it either, but evidently by all the talk it's the ""now thing"" and everybody's doing it.

Do you twitter?_ Is it really all that cool?_ And... just what is it?

I don't Twitter so I guess I miss the appeal.

To me its all in that myspace/facebook category and not that appealing to me. In my own opinion if I want you to know what I am doing right that instant I would email/text you and tell you.

I do twitter. It's not really like myspace or facebook in that there really is nothing complicated about it. You get a box where you can type 140 characters-worth of spare thoughts, ideas, links, replies to other tweets, etc. That's all it is.

You post what you are doing...that's about it.
Oh and you can follow people and see what they are doing.

Anyhoo I've just discovered Spotify where there are no restrictions on what music I can listen to!

Think of twitter like facebook but with just the status updates.
So you can see status updates of people you are 'following' and vise versa.
And if you have no one following you then there's really no point in having one.

I really rather doubt that anybody would have any wish to "follow" me!

I have a nice family life and bring WENZ out of her box a couple of times a year! Hardly newsworthy

Same here ...I only cut loose like a couple times a year ...but beyond that I am pretty much BORING !!!!

I actually joined Twitter about a month ago. Quite frankly, I do not see the point. I already have a Facebook account and frequently update my status there....plus there's always stuff to see and do on Facebook. With Twitter, it's just the status update...and nothing else. I think I'm going to delete my Twitter account.

I think it would be more interesting if I knew more people on it. Thus, I just added Morweena and Moon.

I think of it as being our "random thoughts" thread mixed with the "what are you doing right now" thread.

I dont twitter, I dont get the point of twitter, I doubt I'd enjoy twittering and oh yeah, you can't spell twitter without TWIT and that alone isn't a good sign

i used to play that up, saying I was twitting. But I have nothing on Steven Colbert. When asked if he has a Twitter, he said, "Yes, I have Twatted."
And on network television, no less!

I hardly ever update my status on facebook or myspace, so twitter isn't all that appealing to me.
