| How much do you want to spend? I think it would be cheaper getting a paper one.
These ones from Retroscope are beautiful (just to give you an idea!)..

| I just picked up a Butterick pattern for 99 cents. B4955
Will I have to use a cheap umbrella for this or are there just the frames available? |

No, that pattern basically helps you decorate a standard umbrella. I have that one too and it's been very helpful too. All you need to do is find the lace, trims, or other add-ons you want to use to make it look good. |

| I have both of these, and they are really nice. They are actually waterproof umbrellas, but they are really cute and can be used as parasols too. http://www.brolliesgalore.co.uk/acatalog/Edwardian_Parasol.html http://www.brolliesgalore.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_copy_of_copy_of_Eliza_-_Black_Devore_Lace.html |
