PostSubject: Who knows about Full Score?   Tue Mar 17, 2009 5:33 pm

I've been searching for the Full Score of a list of opera's lately and I've been running into problems. 1. I can't tell if my search result's full score is for the entire opera or just one part of it. 2. I don't think I wanna pay that much without knowing.

Do any of you know a good place to order the Full full score for operas? I've got a current obsession/project where I want to "tweak" them into something akin to a power metal opera... much like how Nightwish redid the song Phantom of the Opera.

The main opera's that I'm looking for are:

Faust
Der Ring des Nibelungen (this is actually 4 operas. Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, and Götterdämmerung)
Salome
Carmen
Don Giovanni
La Gioconda
Norma
Cavalleria Rusticana
Les Huguenots
Falstaff
The Barber of Seville
Madama Butterfly
Tosca
L'amoure dei Tre Re
Le coq d'or
Flying Dutchman

I know,I'm thinking there was some sort of hiccup. You missed the great mass post exodus we had last September(on my birthday),we as a forum lost a full days worth of posts.I hope we don't have that to look foward to again. kooky

You want music cds I take it?? Why not visit your local music store and see what they have to offer. Plus eBay and amazon are the other main websites who go into more detail about what it is your buying.

no, the actual score. I found most of my list on amazon.... for a price.

I just haven't been able to find Die Walküre, La Gioconda, L'amore dei Tre Re, and Le coq d'or in full score on there. In one of the previews of one it gave an address to write to for a catalogue, I think I'll try there too.

I'm a bit surprised that amazon had Cavalleria Rusticana in full score, but not La Gioconda...
