DarkDreamer: I didn't pull many all-nighters in college, but I did usually stay up till 3 a.m. my senior year (working on a life-size self portrait, so I got pretty sick of myself). I took a daily multivitamin, tried to stick to relatively healthy food, and pulled out ol' fashioned caffeine as needed. It worked pretty well; maybe that will work for you and be cheaper than Red Bull.

My boss has got me cold-calling our clients from the past year to tell them about our framing sale (which we can't advertise via postcards b/c *someone* spent into our ad budget...). I told him I haven't finished them yet because "some clients are getting angry with me and considering the calls an imposition...

He interrupts: "Well, it's a lot better than how we've been doing lately!" meaning moneywise...

I continue: "So I plan to double-check the orders to see specifically what they bought from us, so I can mention that in my call to them" [so it doesn't seem so much like I'm calling out of the blue].

Bottom line: My boss has me telemarketing to make up for his poorly-planned ad budget, and doesn't give a rat's a$$ if our clients see it as the annoying garbage it is and take out their anger on me.

Sorry... back to work...

^^What an a$$ that boss of yours. The man has no tact. I hate cold-calling. I had to do it at a public relations firm I worked for once. I get yellled at alot by the folks I was calling. LOL Never again!!!

I feel bad enough when I have to phone clients to tell them that they cant move house when they want to.

My rant - my beloved boss booked a client an appointment for me for 2pm today and FORGOT to tell me. I was with the client for 45 minutes going through information that she, as the home owner herself, should have known. She even asked me if her toilet was included in the sale price

I think it helps that the first legal firm in the phonebook is called "Amphletts" and they cant actually pronounce that word so good old "Bone and Payne" comes next!

About those cold-calls my boss has me doing: he has now told me "not to bother" with the ones that are from out of town. Right, b/c they can't cross town lines to come in for a sale. Marketing genius!

Looking back on a past event... did a little bit of reading. It makes a little more sense. And yet, the ones that are paid to recognize those types of things did absolutely nothing to help me. If anything, they just tried to make it go away. I really hope justice finds them and blood will be spilt.

My Blacberry is acting up, and my attempts at troubleshooting have failed thus far. Time for a new phone:(

I hate the wind!!

I was getting into the car tonight and okay I was partly to blame because of trying to fold the end of my very long riding coat in but the car door blew right into my face and cracked me against the cheekbone. I have what looks like a line of dirt down the side of my face and a stonking great headache
