| I just found out Dakota Fanning is plays Alice in the new Alice in Wonderland. This can't be good...
Films that I'm interested in seeing are "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and I'm going to see "Valkyrie" tomorrow, I was supposed to see it tonight but I couldn't make it in time. Anyone seen them and have a review?
Other interesting films coming out soon that I'd like to see:
Of Time and the City (Jan 21) --looks interesting but possibly amazingly boring.

| I lied!! Dakota Fanning is NOT Alice, it's Mia Wasikowska (yea, I dunno who she is either). My only problem with this choice is that Wasikowska is older than *me* ( she's 18 ) and she's playing a 7 1/2 year old girl...?! Seems like Fanning would have fit that part a little better. There's even that line in the original film when she states her age; I'm betting they'll omit that. I'm sure she'll be great anyway. |

Mia played Sophie in "In Treatment." From watching a little bit of it on youtube I think she will be fantastic as Alice. She's very good. Here's a youtube of an interview with her that includes a trailor for the movie "Defiance" which she also stars in.

I saw it the other day and I thought it was kinda boring. It might be more interesting if you've read the comic book before. They did a fab job at making it look like it was based off of a comic book though, probably the best I've seen as far as that goes. |

He could make a passable spike but I do wonder about the kung fu and with how horribly watered down everything is now because of PC and watchdog groups I wonder if Spike will still smoke or if they'll tone it down...

Yay! A decent casting choice for Cowboy Bebop the live action movie!
Exciting! 
I can definitely see him as Spike, based on some of his previous movies such as Constantine in particular.
As for "how watered down" it'll be... I suppose it depends on the rating and what audience they'll go after.
For the ultimate Bebop experience, it needs to be rated R to be able to fully do everything and keep it even remotely justifiable to the anime series/movie. However, they can still do quite a bit with a PG-13 rating just maybe not as extreme.
Probably/hopefully will keep the smoking and what-not in as it's more a part of his character than just about smoking...
Curious to see who they get for Faye though... and just how "toned down" she'll be.
God, please don't give it a PG rating and aim it for a younger audience.
It's a part of the Adult Swim for a reason... geez.
Ah well, could go any way. Here's hoping for the best though.
I'd even settle for a PG13 rating with an R/Uncut/Unrated version on dvd like they did with Daredevil. |

| Bleh, BadArt beat me to it but since December the link has been removed: Coraline Just saw a trailer for this movie from "the Director of A Nightmare Before Christmas" and it looks quite enjoyable. Similar style, a dark 3d-esque animation movie about a girl, parallel world, and misc. creatures. Definitely a movie I'd pay to see in theaters as similar movies have yet to be a disappointment (Corpse Bride for example - another good one done in a similar manner.)  |
