Knowing that today is the last day of 2008 makes me very happy. Plus I found a grad school for journalism an hour away from where my bf's planning on moving, so i'll get to live with him and see him everyday

I am happy that is my sister is home!
Tonight, her, her husband & I are going out to dinner then to Stir to watch a free showing of The Lizard King, a cover band of The Doors.
I am so freaking excited!
It will be a blissful evening

It's been a very good day.

Shopped the sales at the mall; found a sheer violet blouse (was $40; today $8.00), a black lace skirt lined with champagne satin (was $50; I got it for $15), a partly-black-lace turtleneck, and a few other things. I haven't shopped in so long -- I mean *really* shopped, not just come back from the mall with a tube of lipstick.

Then I worked on jewelry, ate some chocolate, bummed around. Then it's one day of work, and then a weekend. Life is good.

Michael told me his new years resolution and it was about me. And that made me feel loved

WOOHOOO!!!!! My team got sent home from work because it was way too cold to work, so my weekend starts now WWOOOHHOOO!!!!!

We took a bunch on New Years. I'll have to get them sometime.

I got a "late" "Christmas" present from my parents.
Kinda.
We're splitting the cost 50/50 since money is tight and it's kinda expensive.
I just got a 26" flatscreen LCD tv and... it's amazing.
I've never seen such a clear picture before... and my gameplay (even on a simple PS2) quality has improved 100 fold... not to mention the quality of DVDs. Needless to say I can't wait to get my Xbox 360 again and see HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray if the 360 accessory for BR is out.
And it's just so much more than a simple TV...
On my old analog I had to switch the video cable when I wanted to use my DVD player or PS2. With this TV I can have my laptop, PS2, and DVD player all hooked up... though I haven't figured out how to get sound from the Composite cords on the DVD player to the TV itself for its speakers.
Ah well, I have the DVD player and PS2 hooked up to the stereo so I guess technically that doesn't matter...

Man, now I'll have to invest in digital cable or satellite.
Can't wait to watch Gundam (and a few other anime titles... like Yu Yu Hakusho) on this screen.

Talked to Heather for quite a few hours today. (My daughter's mother, for those of you who don't know.)

We really went over some stuff... I think we're getting to where we should be. Should have been all along.

We moved in to the new place yesterday and even though we're no where near done unpacking, the place already feels like home. It just feels right.

I bought some green tea capsules and some vitamins.
I've been doing well with my new years resolution. Cutting out the junk....which I didn't each much of anyway. Doing some excercises. I've been taking the stairs to Michael's appartment (he lives on the 8th floor)
I have a neat program for my iPod that tells me how many calories I can have based on the information I put in. And there's a log where I input the food I eat with it's own collecton of different foods with the calories or I can input my own.
And I also input excercises I do and that tells me how many calories I burn.
Whether the program works or not, it's still neat and it motivates me to try harder.
That makes me happy

I'm still pretty sick, but i'm feeling well enough to get up and socialize which makes me happy
