| I got mine in the mail the other day. The guy on the front makes me want to chunder. I don't feel he's very representative of our culture...it looks more like they found any ol' guy model from an agency and slapped some black clothes on him. The other spreads look nice from what I glanced through though.
Anyone else get theirs yet? |

| I got the new issue too, and I thought the EXACT same thing! His spread on the iside reminded me of some Abercrombie model. I CAN'T STAND looking at him, lol! He looks totally out of place in those clothes, imo.
haha, but maybe we're both wrong and in real life he's the most uber goth guy on the planet. |

I am going to Hastings to get my copy on the 2nd of Jan.
I am just happy they put a guy on the cover for once.
How is the rest of the magazine. Any good articles or new models other than they cover model and drastique. |

| She's sitting this issue out because I flaked out and didn't submit anything. Whether or not it continues though, I still intend to get the new issue when it arrives here. Borders usually has a good supply of them. |

| I'm waiting to get mine at Borders. I enjoy GB, but I do think it's flawed. Needs better editing, and a wider variety of topics -- and models. I'm glad Drastique gets so much work, but come on -- variety!
I buy it to show support for it, and the photos are great, but yeah, they might want to talk more to their readers about new feature ideas. I'd love to help them out with editing or modeling; I suppose I should submit something (in my, what, 10 minutes of daily free time).
Oh, no -- no Anne this time? |

| Yeah, so, I am just not terribly impressed with the rest of the issue, as I have read it now. I concur with you totally, RedAngel, those are some things I always note about the content. I mean...if you are trying to photograph apparel that is black velvet, putting it on a black background is not a terribly good idea. Ha, and oh, I think we saw that same Rose Mortem dress in an spread a few years back. More variety would be delightful. I actually had attempted to contact the crew of the magazine to see if I could contribute somehow (I showed them resume, portfolio, etc.) but received no response. I agree, it would be awesome if they would allow readers to contribute. I am starting to feel rather like they have abandoned their own audience, not only by shutting down their forums, but by losing their for-the-goth-by-the-goth feel. Greh. |

| ^^ Yeah, kind of senseless, really -- if they're not open to reader input, for whom are they publishing? They're not big like Conde Nast (who I think publishes Allure & Vogue), serving only their advertisers; they're supported by a close-knit community, without whom they really wouldn't be able to publish in the first place. |

| I had to go onto the main page to see the picture of the issue, and he does looks like a male model placed in black; he's just too perfect to be a goth model. I never subscribed and I will not look through an issue either. I would have picked up an issue before the forums closed but I still feel jipped after not given any forewarning. _________________ I'm a werewolf, not a vampire! |

I think we all feel like we were jipped by that decision. So many people were so upset about the closing, but what few people outside the old mod crew realize is that we got the exact same ammount of warning as the rest of the members did. _________________ ”Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy." ~H. Yep, I can't wait to get the new Deathrock mag. |

We had absolutely no notice whatsoever. Vampira texted me to let me know about it and I emailed Endless and so on and so forth.
I can understand the closure of the forums for financial reasons but I cannot forgive the massive betrayal of the members_________________ Well, the Devil he taught us how to rock and then he turned us loose |
