Great news!

My boyfriend and I went to Texas for a couple of days to meet his family, and on Christmas Eve, he asked me to marry him! This has not been my best year. There's been some good things and some devastating things that have happened. I am so glad that 2008 is ending on a very happy note. heart

The ring is an antique. My great-aunt wore it when she got married just after WWII. Her husband died decades ago, and she gave the ring to my mom. My mom gave it to my fiancee, and he gave it to me. My great-aunt is really excited for us and happy that the ring still is in the family. I remember my mom wore it for a long time just because. I had completely forgotten about it until he proposed.
