Hubby treated me to dinner at IHOP tonight.

Plus, he finally agreed to having white kitchen cabinets.....we weren't seeing eye-to-eye on the new kitchen plan, but that changed today. grin

I had a freaking fantastic day!
I went to my painting class & we're starting our abstract section, which I am extremely excited for. We were to take pictures from our favorite painters & choose a piece/pieces that we were inspired by from the picture & abstract it in some way.
I chose Dali (of course!) & now I just need to figure out what I am going to abstract...hooray!
Then, on a mission for subjects for my photography assignment, I stumbled upon a most serene graveyard & got some fabulous shots!
Being there made me giddy with excitement & happiness & I think it is now my new favorite spot that I will have to visit more often.
    Oh, bliss...
Plus, the sun was shining & the air was crisp & cool- an altogether perfect autumn day to go tromping through the leaves in the graveyard grin

I'm so jealous about the cemetery pics. My camera I bought earlier this year goes through batteries faster then my son chews gum and I cannot get the rechargeable ones till I save some money up. pale

Your day sounds fantastic, Wrapped! I miss going into the dark room sooooo much. And props to you for choosing Dali as your inspiration. Very Happy

I'm happy because I really, really like my boyfriend. I love those relationships where if you have a problem, you talk it out instead of being all pissey about it. Talking is good. Plus, he makes me feel good when I feel all bloatey and gross heart

International Studies would be good for you, Max, since you seem to know a lot about different areas of the world & a lot about your own country, for that matter Smile
I was thinking more of a music video producer Wink

Originally I was going to do psychology as a career... so I could be there for others growing up in ways that I needed but had no one. Unfortunately that is a tedious field and my interests shifted (so now I study Philosophy & Psychology out of interest/fun). English tends to be one of my talents (well... spelling/grammar aside) plus I can inspire and shape young minds... create my own unique method of teaching... and personalization of my classroom.
I plan on teaching some High School but ultimately would like to teach on a college level. Probably would lean towards Literature over the other aspects of English. With the continual growth of technology, I worry young minds will lose the magic a good book can provide... that we'll lose that part of our roots in the literature world forever. Perhaps I'm just obsolete...

I wanted to do photography as a career but... that didn't work so well. I still enjoy capturing the beauties of life (people, places, things, etc.) and will take my camera practically everywhere... but it's just too much passion for me to allow it to be limited by the confines of most careers. Definitely will do freelance work when I get the chance though... but it's mostly for personal purposes... passions, creativity, etc.
Do have some projects pending people to do them with though...

Literature is my passion, but seems to me that not a profitable one...

I will post some of my work eventually on here...
But there is always myspace if you are desperate. grin \

Unfortunately, it's not a profitable one unless you want to be a professor & go into historical studies & open your own little museum or something Wink
