Click Me

I'd guess that the tomb was entered some time ago even though the authorities believed that it never was.

In most cases, a tomb has already been entered before someone else discovers it. Wish I could find something like that.

You guys are missing the truth, someone from 100 years ago in the future went back in time when the tomb was being made and dropped the watch. :p

Funny, I thought something along those lines.
Someone 100 years ago went back in time to the creation of the tomb around 400 yeas ago and dropped the watch...
Or... someone from the future had a time machine, just happened to wear/collect antiques, and accidentally dropped the watch while observing the creation of the tomb.
Or... someone was there before and they just assumed it had been sealed for 400 years. More than likely there is/was another was into the tomb.
meh

Would be interesting though... the way the economy was 100 years ago, I'm sure not everyone had watches let alone miniature ones of that nature. I wonder if there's any way to track/demi-track the original owner and see if anything "missing" from the tomb could be "found" somehow...
Or was anything stolen from the tomb at all?
I suppose we'll never know the when, how, or why...

The most probable answer is that someone from 100 years ago went into the tomb without anyone else knowing it (this was probably a rich foreign tourist).

No one yet bring up the possibility that a small animal could have taken it into the tomb?
There might never be found it's spot of entry or exit.

That's true, some rodent or other small animal could have carried it with them.
