So, I'm going to NYC sometime in January for a few days.

I am going to the Goth: Dark Glamor exhibit at FIT (I have been very excited about this exhibit for quite some time now, and as a fashion major I cannot justify not going!) But I was wondering what else would be worth checking out? Museums, shops, clubs, events, or whatever!


So... any ideas? It is such a big city, and I'll only be there for two days, so I am overwhelmed to say the least!

nycgoth.com is my very favorite site from the '90s. Yes, its info hasn't been updated in many years, but much of the stuff listed is still there. Just call around to be sure the places still exist! If you haven't been there before, you need to go to Trash and Vaudeville, at least for the sheer history if it. You might find some decent gear, too!

^^Actually, most of the stuff on that site is dated. Alot of those places are closed.

Yes, Trash & Vaudeville is a must-see. They've got alot of fabulous clothes there (too small for my fat a$$, though.)

Yeah, lots of the places are, sadly, gone. I love looking at that site though, it just makes me miss the gothy '90s.
