| I actually think I've seen that before, and you're absolutely right... they are quite gorgeous. *sighs dreamily* What I want to know is how they were able to get such pictures as wouldn't the snow/flakes melt before they could get it under any form of microscope-like equipment? Or even if they could get it to the equipment wouldn't the heat from the light, the environment, people, etc. cause them to melt? Still... quite beautiful... and a reminder of why I love snow... Now, if only we could have the beauty & fun of snow without the cold...  |

| Well, it said the photos were taken with a "snowflake photomicroscope," so it must have a special bulb that doesn't generate heat or the shutter on this microscope is super fast & is able to capture the image quick enough before the flake has a chance to melt. They are definitely a beautiful way of showing how artistic Mother Nature is & portraying her love of symmetry  Red & Succubus- You are very welcome  |
