| As a special gift this Christmas I wanted to write a special love poem to my boyfriend. But Im really crap at them and need some help and guidance on how to make it sound perfect. It doesn’t have to rhyme but it has to flow, telling the story of how long we've spent together and how much he means to me.

| If you're not particular on the rhyming scheme, it does make it easier to write the poem (or seemingly) I would suggest making a list of how he makes you feel & how he makes your heart flutter, even in the tiniest of situations & moments. (hugging, holding hands, etc.) & reflect that into your poem. Perhaps start with how you first met, then put in a significant moment. I understand, there are so many, but try to narrow it down. Put in as much detail as possible about the moment- location, sights, that perfect smile, etc. then end with how he captured your heart & why he continues to make you feel the way you do about him. The number 1 thing to remember though is that it has to come from your heart!  Sometimes it also helps to read love poems written by other people to get ideas, but then putting in your own feelings & memories, etc. I am sure whatever you write he will absolutely adore! |
