I am so glad I saw this post. I plan to make a little top hat this weekend out of felt. I need to make a top hat for a photo project I am in. I am going to get supplies today!!

GR, you can usually find dolls top hats at craft and hobby stores in the asile where they have teddy bears and doll parts.


And this tutorial is pretty awesome. My friend Amanda is always making mini top hats in pretty much the way you described, and they always come out looking so wonderfully!

I had meant to post this a long time ago....

I made hats for my troupe for our Gothic Bellydance program that we performed in February. I wish I had a closeup of each hat but I don't yet, so I'll try to zoom in on the pic.

We are performing the program again in May and we have some new members so I will be making a couple more hats! Woo!

I used the 5 inch top hats but you could experiment with different sizes.
