Surging shoppers kill Wal-Mart employee

This is sad.

That's tragic but unfortunately, I fear, a sign of the times. I seem to remember people in the UK fighting at supermarkets recently. Whatever happened to humanity?

I don't get that. A few years ago my friend was the manager at the local best buy. He said as soon as the doors opened this woman picked up a game for her son. Mind you there is still a rack full of games, but the lady behind her punched her in the face and was fighting with her on the floor because they both wanted the very first copy on the shelf.

this is nothing new, does anyone remember xbox. the first ipod, beanybaby's, furby, CABAGE PATCH KIDS (all caps because of cabage patch riots)... it doesn't make it any less sad though...

I don't understand why people go insane over things that are so stupid. Seriously, just cuz your kid wants it why do you have to become a crazed idiot? It's not the end of the world or anything.

How in the world can you do that!! Stupid Stupid People! God! That's exactly why I worried about some of you around here either working today or shopping! People have degressed to such a deplorable state when the desire for something so truly unimportant is valued more than another person's well being or in this case life.

The desire for goods turning people into monsters is just deplorable.

This poor person just turned up for work this morning and then was killed. It's hateful, it sucks and it's about time that people realised what the truly important things in life are. You simply cannot buy love, security, friendship and trust

That is so true. I mean all of those people were there to get gifts for their familys so they can have a good time on christmas. The guy that died, what kind of a good time is his family going to have on christmas because a bunch of selfish idiots wanted to act stupid?

That is so tragic. I was out there today. It was pretty wild. The things people will do just for a sale. A human life is way more important.

You will never catch me doing that again ...freaking nuts all the pushing and shoving and the fighting ....and that was just before you got into the store.

I avoid black Friday like the plague. I absolutely loath crowds.

This is my first year not going and trust me, I don't regret it. I do regret letting my mom borrow $100 that I need for my tuition this upcoming semester though.

Cops seek Wal-Mart shoppers after worker dies

Kimberly Cribbs, who witnessed the stampede, said shoppers were acting like "savages."

"When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling `I've been on line since yesterday morning,'" she said. "They kept shopping."

That's something that just scares me to death.I can't imagine just going shopping as though nothing had happened.

They ought to outlaw black Friday all together.

That would be the best idea I've heard of in a long time.
