Okay, so aside from a day and a half flight from Bahrain to Virginia, I'll be driving across country from Virginia to California, if anyone knows anything I should look out for; speed traps, law enforcement problems, locals with attitudes etc. let me know, or just what to look out for this time of year in the area.

    I'll be going through:

    Richmond, Va
    Roanoke, Va
    Jackson City, TN
    Knoxville, TN
    Hendersonville, TN
    Jackson, TN
    Memphis, TN
    Littlerock, AR
    Fortsmith, AR
    Norman, OK
    Amarillo, TX
    Albuquerque, NM
    Flagstaff, AZ
    Lake Havasu City, AZ
And then down through La, and into hometown San Diego.

I suppose it's true for every location but with Norman hosting the University of Oklahoma (OU Sooners! Woohoo!) they tend to be like 3x worse. Recommend following the speed limit or even going 5 below through town and not more than 5 over passing on the interstate. Plus the layout of the streets can be a bit confusing with all their dang one ways *has been know to go up them on accident :whistle*
Other than that... it's not too horrible. Traffic can suck depending what time of day you're passing through these parts. meh

I plan on getting through most of TN in the middle of the night, hopefully. Get home, get my tires and oil changed etc. Pack my car, get some sleep, and leave around 2 or 3 in the afternoon from Virginia, and make it to TN hopefully by 6 or 7 in the evening. Hopefully I don't have to stop in TN aside from gas, I don't like driving through city streets if I'm just passing through.

I-64W to I-81S to I-640W to I-40W all the way through to California.
