| I have long wondered how so many Muslims could circumambulate the Kabah in an orderly fashion at once, but never seen pictures that show how it's done! Thanks for that! But how remarkable the temple complex that's grown up around it is... i find myself trying to imagine how the space around the Kabah looked in Muhammed's day. |

| Today at work in the photo lab I developed pictures of Napa Valley. As a fan of the outdoors and something of a Wineaux California's wine country has long been alluring to me. |

| If you have the chance, take it! I've had the good fortune to go to England (various parts), and Paris and Giverney. Same goes for New Zealand. My husband's from NZ. |

I'm usually afraid of heights too, but it seems the higher I go (as in top of towers higher) the less scared I get. Maybe it'd be the same for you? |

That happens at other places too. The first one that comes to my mind is Catalhouk. The graves were in the living areas of the families. But that's a neolithic site. according to some of the comments on there, it happens in Egypt and other places too. |

| ^ I agree with all of that! Though I've actuall had the pleasure of seeing Stonehenge. My Stonehenge advice: Go early in the morning. As the day goes on obnoxious tourist buses show up and you lose the awesome spiritual reverence of the place. |

| I've been to Stonehenge - I went full of hope for a spiritual experience but it was full of tourists and I hated being cut off from actually touching the Stones. Maybe I should go on a Solstice (Synth help me out hun!) The Cotswolds are pure glorious. I love it there and any county that has villages called "Slaughter" has to be good I would like to go back to Glastonbury but about 200 years ago before it was totally ruined. You have to pay to get into the Abbey or onto the Tor! _________________ Well, the Devil he taught us how to rock and then he turned us loose |
