I think this year we are having turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, dill pickle soup, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravey, bread, apple pie and cheese cake. To top it all off, I'm doing all of the cooking.

We are doing turkey,homemade mashed potatoes , turkey gravy , whipped sweet potatoes , cornbread stuffing , steamed veggies , cranberry relish , carrot nut bread , and pumpkin pie with whipped topping. I am hungry just typing it all out.

I thought my mom would be disappointed that I would be spending Thanksgiving with the hubby's famly instead this year......but she was actually happy. She's relived she won't have to cook. LOL

White Castle Stuffing

10 White Castle hamburgers, no pickles
1 1/2 cups celery, diced
1 1/4 tsp. ground thyme
1 1/2 tsp. ground sage
3/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth


In a large mixing bowl, tear the burgers into pieces and add diced celery and seasonings. Toss and add chicken broth. Toss well. Stuff cavity of turkey just before roasting. Makes about 9 cups (enough for a 10- to 12-pound turkey). Note: Allow 1 hamburger for each pound of turkey, which will be the equivalent of 3/4 cup of stuffing per pound.

I'm English so only know Thanksgiving as something I have to do sometimes as a chef but I truley wish each and everyone of you a happy Thanksgiving!!!

Today my aunt made the turkey a little salty and since I woke up late the rest of the dinner wasn't done on time, but for the most part I think it went well. We have decent sozed left overs. Not too much and not too little. We have some left over dill pickle soup and a ton of pies. I love it.

My mom made about 7 pies and cookies. I'm not a huge pie fan, so I settled for cookies. Everyone else has pie. They can eat that while I have cookies
