Garden gnomes banned from church cemetery because they are 'unnatural creatures'

Hideous, absolutly. But do they really diserve a banning?

The gnomes, along with plastic flowers and other decorations such as teddy bears, have been called "inappropriate" and tacky by the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

The church banned the garden figures from Wrington and Congresbury cemeteries in Somerset, and have said they will remove any that they find as part of new guidelines issued by the Chancellor of the Diocese, Worshipful Timothy Briden.

Angels are unnatural creatures too but you don't see them being banned.

I visit a lot of cemeteries and I feel that whatever that family member wants to put by their love ones tombstone is their business and not the business of the church. I love walking through cemeteries and seeing little touches of relatives paying respect to their loves ones.

I was going to say the exact same thing....I tell you what, I'd be pissed if my relatives weren't allowed to put things on my grave. I'd haunt the crap out of whoever was in charge of that. naughty
