Ok, so she might not be, but you never know! That dress she wore on ellection night was rather on the darkly side of nice. Love the colors and oo that waist line! Wouldn't that be great if the First Lady just happened turn out to be goth!

I think Michelle has brought back a certain life to fashion. It's already been spoken and remarked of her likeness to a former first lady. It's funny sometimes to think how fashion is tied into politics and the economy. I had many years ago read that as times get bad hem lines go up. As to whether that is truly a result of trying to save money by using less fabric or boost up moral and spirits in a depressing economy is debatable, but I'm sure many more magazines will sell more copies now that Michelle is in office!

And the fashion industry as well will turn a profit.

I personally really liked her dress. It was classy, yet bold and she pulled it off in my opinion. Usually you see the First Lady wearing suits, but it was nice to see something more down to earth and elegant.

Yeah... she's totally not goth... but that dress is absolutely fabulous.
I think in our day and age the lines of various cultures/subcultures in the fashion sense are really starting to blur. In part because the Gothic fashion is just so damn awesome and in part because there are a lot of posers.
On the bright side, if we have a ton of posers that means our culture is becoming more "acceptable" even if it risks a lot of annoying wannabes.

I was surprised she wore red on election night. I would have thought she would have worn a blue dress.

I'm really curious as to how much that dress cost. I do think it's sweet that it's both the colors of her little girl's dresses combined too.

I really don't think she is goth, but I do like the dress though.

I liked the dress...it was refreshing that she didn't wear some lamo skirt suit.

BUT, why is it that whenever a celebrity goes out and wears all black or something, everyone starts dishing that they've "gone goth".

Whenever I read these stupid articles that say, oh, so-and-so goes goth on the red carpet, I look at the picture - and sure, she's wearing a black dress...but is it a "goth" style dress? Heck no.

I thought she looked lovely but not remotely goth.

From what I've read she's a very smart legal type bod who manages to look after two small daughters COOL!

See, I do not like the dress too much. I like the colors and the shape, but I dont like how the red fades in th black.

Eh... just goes to show that colour doesn't matter.
Pink is the new black.
Red is the new Democratic Blue.
A lot of symbolism in the world is becoming less and less "striking" and more and more mellow/casual... imo.

Can't she just wear whatever she pleases?
