BRAND SPANKIN NEW Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince International Trailer

If you've seen the first trailer... then you definitely need to watch this. TONS of new footage and dialog added that was NOT in the original trailer.

The first time I saw this I nearly cried it was so beautiful yet intense... and amusing.
I HAVE to see the movie now...

Repo: The Genetic Opera
One word: Ogre.
NIVEK FRIGGEN OGRE!! I am really sad that it's not coming to a theatre close enough to me, because I've been anticipating its release since April. sad or frown It's actually being covered in the next issue of GB, and kind of made me want to buy an issue....nah.

If you are in the area of any of these theatres, please go and watch the damn thing. It will make a wide release a possibility and there are many people who don't live near any of these cities who would like to see it in theatres.

Los Angeles. California-Sunset 5
Pasadena, California-Playhouse
San Francisco, California-Landmark Lumiere
Berkley, California-Elmwood Theater
New York-Angelika
Austin, Texas-Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar
Las Vegas, Nevada-Palms Casino (Brenden Theater)
Minneapolis, Minnesota-Landmark Lagoon

I believe there was an updated list of added cities either on their site or IMDB...or both. But again, I beg you...a wide release would be greatly appreciated.

Awww so cute! It looks like Kiki's Delivery Service & Spirited Away... so I'm guessing it's a Miyazaki film? His newest?
I have to see that... didn't even know it existed. Thanks Morw!
Very Happy

Some time this month a movie called "Fanboys" will be released.
It's about a bunch of scifi nerds going on a quest to infiltrate George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch.
Guest Appearances include: Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Kevin Smith (Silent Bob), William Shatner (Captain James T. Kirk), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), and I think several others I didn't catch from the first watching of:
Fanboy Trailer

It looks hilarious with a dash of stupid... definitely a must see for any fanboy (or fangirl) of anything, especially Star Wars. Laughing

It played in Seattle last night. It was awesome. Beautiful movie. The low budget shows though here and there but doesn't hurt the film. Ogre singing opposite Paris Hilton with members of Bauhaus playing the music and it works. Joan Jett playing during the teen angst song. Lots of dark humor.

Goth Cruise the Movie trailer - a 'Gothumentary'

IFC’s 'Goth Cruise' a darkly light tale of acceptance

Goths have kids and Goths have minivans and Goths have mortgage payments and all the other things that we typically think of as an adult," says one subject of the UK film Goth Cruise. Filmmaker Jeanie Finlay shows the human side of the mysterious subculture using, as the title suggests, an actual cruise attended by 150 Goths as the setting.

In his 2002 Spin magazine article about Bats Day, a yearly Goth expedition to Disneyland, pop culture writer Chuck Klosterman wonders "How did America become terrified of these people?" and this film attempts to show why it shouldn't be. The Goths who set sail on this voyage along with 2,350 non-goths, are regular people who live in suburbia who have to take off their nailpolish to go to work.

But underneath its black cloaked exterior, Goth Cruise is a critique of the United States. Many subjects of the film, both American and British, accuse America of being less accepting of Goth culture than Britain. Britton Ian says Americans often ask him what he could possibly do for a living with a tattoo on his head, his wife Bridie feels there's more at stake being a goth in the US than in the UK, and an American subject says the US forces people to be "happy being happy," and Goths want a full range of emotions. "You can't have the light without the dark," he says.

The film criticizes the US, not only for its conservative culture that makes Goths uncomfortable, but also through the voice of Sean, the Goth dad from Portland, Oregon who is a veteran of a war that he does not agree with. He criticizes the States for invading people who are poor and downtrodden, comparing it to a bunch of frat boys rolling a bum for his money. Meanwhile, in Whitby, England, Goths roam freely and most welcome during the Whitby Goth Weekend, Britain's Goth festival.

But clearly not all of America is trying to keep the Goths down, since the majority of the Goths in this film are American, and while a few of the non-Goth folks on the cruise misjudge the children of the night as Satan worshipers, a couple of older ladies say they found all the Goths to be very nice and respectful.

The film is mostly a fun look at the lives of people who are often misunderstood, but have embraced the world's negative view of them. Not surprisingly these people are just people who like industrial music, who live normal lives and are, in some cases, somewhat socially awkward. Just like any other group of people you might want to profile, though perhaps with an exceptionally larger collection of capes. Packing for a Goth cruise might be a chore, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.

Star Trek XI
The 11th Star Trek movie... that takes place before the other 10.
Cool

Still looks good though... quite... amusing.
Wish they would have made the 11th movie about Voyager... or even Deep Space Nine... though Voyager = heart

Can't wait to see this one though, looks quite exciting. Very Happy

Was checking out what movies & television series Hugh Laurie had been in outside of "House, M.D." and saw he's in (voice acting) the new movie by Dreamworks Animation: Monsters vs Aliens (trailer). I have to say, at first glance I immediately thought of The Incredibles so thought it'd be worth glancing at the trailer at least.

And... it looks quite fun & hilarious. I think it'll be a great movie for people of all ages. Laughing

Dragonball: Evolution
^FINALLY have an actual movie trailer for the Dragonball movie... and, as I suspected, it's crap. Marsters voice for Piccolo is about the only good thing about the movie. The history, character background/development, actor/actress choice... EVERYTHING else is 100% crap.

Had the anime series of Dragonball and Dragonball Z never existed, I could quite probably see this movie being pretty good... however... Dragonball/Z/GT has been in existence for years - you can't just go making up things to create something 100% completely different & wrong without reprocussions.
I will honestly be amazed if this movie makes even 1% of their money back from this film. Needless to say there will NOT be a sequel (thank goodness!)
