Well, a website called Vaute Couture was having a contest for a coat design. I entered a design for a winter wedding coat. They didn't choose my design ( ), but it is an honorable mention. Of course, not good enough for me....so I'm grumpy about that. Thought that maybe if I showed it off to you dolls, I might get the opinion of people with good taste!

Shortpsycho--I did the lines of the illustration with micron pens and the colors in Photoshop CS2.

^I wish I could steal you to help me in Journalism class.... I'm trying to teach myself the various programs I need in order to put the newspaper together (Photoshop CS2 and CS3 included)... and it's so confusing...

Ooo, may I please suggest you don't use photoshop for layout of that kind of thing? I've made magazines before and the quality is lacking compared to a publishing program (like InDesign). But, if that's all you got---that's all you got! I'd be glad to help if I can

Okay, good...InDesign is the best to use for that kind of thing. And yep, its scary to use. I basically scraped by using it all by my lonesome, too. Doesn't your teach have any knowledge of it? Seems mean to make you do a project without helping with the program!

^Nope. My original teacher (who was wicked awesome and very much a Goth)... got a position as Head Writer at a local college (really, her dream.... but I was pissed nonetheless. She was my very favorite teacher, and this is my Senior year. )

The new one? She taught eighth graders.

She has no clue what to do. We are on our own.

Oh my, that does stink. Hmm...I wonder if there are any good tutorials online. I can help you with Photoshop, but honestly my work with InDesign was pretty much a combo of messing around with it and dumb luck. I'll see what I can find...
