| Every now and then I'll get a nudge in the creative gene to write something... Occasionally my works go incomplete due to writer's block or the fact I feel like they simply suck. Most of such pieces get deleted and lost with the passing of time. But, lately, I've started saving my documents as "Unfinished ###" - who knows, maybe one day they'll be revised. In the meantime, however, I decided to make a thread just in case I'm my own worse critic... or anyone else wants to see how badly I PHAIL. lol Unfinished 000: | Quote: | One generation to the next The cycle never ends Born into a world of chaos Where darkness consumes
Only one purity exists That of a newborn child Which is tainted within moments Of the light of day
Air fills the lungs Toxic as sin Growing into another drone Slaughtering of the lamb
Products of society Environmentally corrupt Worsening with time With addition piece of mind
Good versus Evil A battle always raging on Within each and every heart Woman and Man

My first one I was trying to show the evolution of humanity from birth to death. That the only time we are truly pure and innocent is when we're babies and once the light of day shines down upon us, once we take that first breath, we're corrupt. Even Saints have their secrets, and even those who have personally never done anything wrong by Human or Divine standards have either experienced it through sight or sound - television, witness, educational studies, etc. That even the most pure have it within themselves to fall to the darkside as everyone has their Achilles Heal. A part of me felt that the last paragraph was "enough" and could "probably" end it there... but.. my creative side feels like it's laking a true ending. |
