Widespread exposure for a pair of my favorite bands which is great...

But a piece on Steampunk on MTV just made my soul die a little.

Good thing: It was an interesting bit that helps to promote the subculture and their bands, styles, etc.

Bad thing: Expect Steamposers come out more now

I second that entierly i can realy see this happening...

already....

As with so many alt things it used to be amaizng DIY but now you can buy it all premade with little to no effort needed to make it your own idea or outfit

I cannot view it because no one from outside the US is allowed to see it due to copyright laws.

I used to be more fequent to a Steampunk board and I remember people arguing exactly what should be the appropiate term to refer to someone who is a member of the Steampunk subculture... I don't remember if they ever reached to something, though

Yeah, I picked up on that little bit real quick. I think having a little exposier is a good thing, so what it was Mtv, fact of the matter is Mtv is so widly viewed that it deffinetly got the steampunky word out there. Wink

they arent altogether pointless as a way to get something seen...
