This year Bats Day at Disneyland will be November 8th and 9th!

so much for summer heat!

I attend every year and plan on helping out with the pre-events this year. November is a nice change of pace.

You know that would be so cool to join in. I would probably have to wear a bucket round my neck due to all of the drooling that I would be doing.

I want so badly to do this one day! Funny, I've been to Disney World...but never Disney Land.

I've never been to either, not even six flags or universal studios.

Bat's Day is lots of fun and I highly recommend it to anybody who can go. There are few things like being at Disneyland when there are enough people in black running around to make everybody else think there is a movie being filmed or something.

It's too far away for me and my friends, so we created our own goth day. Hope to go one day though.

Well, it is fairly universal that Halloween is goth day.

We celebrate then and on every Friday the 13th.

^I don't, any more. I made the mistake of making Friday the 13th an anniversary date with an ex. So it has sour feelings with it now.

anyway, Bats Day is best in the evening, when the sun goes down. Everyone meets at the Haunted Mansion around 8:00pm. And last year, it was quite a big crowd. Disney has their photographers situated around, so there's plenty of opportunity for photos. And the 'group' shot in front of the Haunted Mansion is much better than any school or renunion picture.

I can see this event getting so popular that someday they will have to spread it out into 2 or 3 days!

The reason why it is much better than a school or reunion photo is because everyone is goth (or punk or anywhere in between).

I would love to go to bats day, I need to start making plans for it now.

Interesting twist this year, Bats Day will feature the Haunted Mansion in its 'Nightmare Before Christmas' gala, unlike previous Bats Day gatherings.

I'd love to go someday, but I've been told it gets rather annoying because you've got clueless tourists asking everyone what's going on. Ah well, I went to Convergence 13, close enough. :p
