Has anyone watched this yes? If so, what are your thoughts?

I have seen the first two episodes and I am not really impressed with it so far. I would expect the producers to make Sookie more older then what they are portraying her to be. The Story line bites and not in the good vampire way either. I have read all of Charlaine Harris books and I enjoyed reading them more then this series. I rather see them make a series on Charlaine's Harper Connelly series.

I have been watching it and I like it. I haven't read any of the books so I can't compare the two. I'm sure the books are better, they usually are.

Yeah it is getting better by the episode. Now I have to go find those books.

I fell in love with books 6 of the Sookie Stackhouse series , but I do not have the slightest idea if they (producers ) are going to take True Blood that far into the books.

They introduced Eric in last night episode and not how I thought they would portray him either ,in the book he is this tall man that commands attention and is broad of shoulder.

I really disliked the very first episode. I thought the dialog was cheesey, and Tara was too cliche "angry black woman", and I also hated Lafayette, and I didn't like Anna Paquin as Sookie.

But, I have really liked episodes 2 through 4. I actually like Lafayette and Tara now, and have warmed up to Anna Paquin as Sookie.

I'm wondering though how closely it's going to follow the books (especially with having some main characters be killed). I'm thinking they are probably going to follow the books less and less as the show progresses.

I liked Alexander Skarsguard as Eric, but I didn't really like the actress portraying Pam. From the books, I pictures Pam as being younger and prettier.


LOL, for anyone whose read some of the books: I really hope that if the show does the orgy at the lake house scene, Eric is NOT wearing what the book described him as wearing! haha!

I watched it the other day and I loved it.. I haven't read the books but I intend to now.

All I've got to say is...penile eggplant! lol!

I watched episode 5 last night and I just loved the aids burger part ...Lafayette kicks some major butt in that episode and the part where Tara is taking out the trash and finds Jason out back and dumps trash on him...priceless

I was able to catch up on the last 4 episodes and they keep getting better as they go. I loved the last one though.

I'm still watching religiously, but I've got to say...

I HATE the whole V/drug addiction thing. They need to dump this plot. Why Alan Ball added this is beyond me. If I have to see Jason and Amy having trippy sex any more, I'm going to hurl.

Gotta love Pam though!

Lafeyette is awesome! I never thought any guy could pull off a metallic gold thong...but he sure did.

I think the "aids burger" scene is my favorite scene so far.
