PostSubject: Authentic 1890's Menswear??   Mon Sep 08, 2008 6:33 pm

Anyone know where I could get some authentic looking 1890s era men's clothing? My husband wants to dress up like a Victorian gentleman for Halloween, and he's looking for some authentic looking suits.

He doesn't want anything too cheap or costume-ish or cheesy goth. Wink

So, anyone know of any websites, or have any ideas or tips?

Any help would be appreciated. grin

Is there a particular style he is looking for--upper class, western, etc?

    What normal everyday people wore.

    NOT cowboy or western clothing.

I would say your best bet would be The Gentleman's Emporium. It has GREAT authentic things, for an extremely reasonable price, compared to most authentic Victorian clothiers.
