When I am at work & people ask me countless times if they can get a discount on their concert tickets after telling them "there are no available discounts unless you're an employee."
People are freaking relentless & can't take no for answer a lot of times.

^^Can't people just be one in itself? Because when you talk about people, that doesn't nessesarily mean you are talking about any one individual person in general.

^ Sure, if you wanted it to. I think that's just up to the individual, because not everyone comprehends things in the same way or mm has the same way of thinking. So certain word usage is left open to interpretation.

the "eh" on the end of words that shouldn't have it. Kitteh, puppeh, bunneh etc. And of course the misspelled "teh & meh" (the & me) Teh is just lazy spelling and meh is a word and it doesn't mean "me".

Oh, also "gooder" I don't know how or why this is getting popular and actually being used in commercials but it is... Gooder id not a word...

I think of the "-eh" words as being playful (albeit overused) so they don't bother me as much, but "gooder"? That one tweaks my grammar nerve.

I've realized I have a number of little pet peeves, but mostly they fall under one big category: Fashionable Ignorance. Definition: people who pretend to know very little, in an effort to be liked by ignorant friends. Also, people who have no desire whatsoever to learn more, and get snobbish and crabby ("uh, OK, whatever!") when faced with something they don't know. A refusal to learn or to use their existing knowledge. "Gooder" is a great example.

People used to be rewarded for sounding intelligent; I don't know what happened.

^^ Bingo, bingo, and bingo. I agree. The thing that most blows my mind, though, is just what ridiculous ends people will go to for $$$. From the sheeple and their gadget lust up to the string-pullers who just keep wanting more... how much happiness do they thing $ is going to buy them, anyway? I guess none of them have noticed the nagging feeling of emptiness that comes with having loads of cash and stuff but still feeling unfulfilled?

Spooky, no, you're not an a$$ for distancing yourself from an idiot. Some people and behaviors need to be rejected. It's awesome to hear you won't drop your standards.

Preach it Brother Spooky! I too have a high standard (I guess it's high considering what I am surrounded by) of who I would let myself sleep with because there is always a small risk (at least at this point until I get a tubal ligation) of them becoming a father.
