Left To The Night Alone by Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc

It's really good so far.
I've wanted to read Andy's books for awhile,She is someone I know from the old Gothic Beauty messageboards and from the Gothic Auctions site as well.

So, The Feast of The Goat tells the story of the last day of Dominican dictator Generalissimo Dr. Rafael Trujillo through three POVs. The POV of Urania in the present day, the daughter of an important person in the Trujillo administration whose father, fallen in disgrace, tries to give his daughter's virginity to Trujillo attempting to restore his power. She returns many years to solve issues with him. The POV of Trujillo himself as a cold-hearted hot-blooded calculating moster whose entire country is on his shoulders and the last POV are from Trujillo's assasins waiting next to road to avenge how he has killed them metaphorically until being dependent to him. I also like the cover quite a lot:

A compilation of W. B. Yeats' poetry. Beautiful and bittersweet. I might post some later.

I'm not reading anything currently, yet am quite curious...

Does anyone happen to know whatever happened to Robert Tritthardt's, "Writhe And Shine" comic strip and site...?

I found it so well done and funny.

Have missed it for a long time...

Right now nothing but during my vacations I finished:

The Feast of the Goat by Mario Vargas Llosa
Dune by Frank Herbert
Carpe Jugulum by Terry Pratchett (First of his Witches book I read, they are so cool and for some reason they kinda make me think about our Mrs. Damnation)
The Shining by Stephen King

A Million Little Pieces -- James Frey. 'Twas acting a really good read, despite the whole controversy Operah made over it.
