Bus beheading similar to Windigo legend

Really so not what I was expecting to read this morning.
I don't know too much about the Windingo legends, does anyone else know anything about the legend of The Windingo?

The windigo On one level it fits in with zombies werewolfs and astral Vamps (the folklore more believable ones ones, not modern LARPer gone nuttso "lifestylers") but on the other its a convenient way of saying "I'm not a cannibal it was a windigo"... I think the guy on the bus just suffered a psychotic breakdown.

Aren't Windigos (I always thought it was spelled, "Wendigo", but I guess not...) ancient cannibalistic tribesmen, hyped up on voodoo, so they can live for hundreds of years...? It always seemed so unlikely...but then again, ancient rituals are able at times to do some pretty freaky shite. So who knows?!

It's pretty much the same when people claim that it was the devil that made them do their actions; it's a way of diverting responsibility to some supernatural being.
