Grand ruins and good times await at this Yorkshire seaside resort - and encounters with Dracula are optional, reports Craig McIntosh.
For horror fans, or at least fans of Bram Stoker's classic Dracula, Whitby needs no introduction. It is, of course, where the eponymous vampire landed in Britain before resuming his reign of terror. Thousands descend on this picturesque seaside town every year for its gothic music and movie festivals, while one of its main attractions is The Dracula Experience, a museum of all things macabre.
