Has he been diagnosed with any mental defects?

The word rhyming thing is called clanging and is a sign of a thought disorder that could be a symptom of a psychotic disorder. He should be seen by a mental health professional ASAP.

^He's known to be a hypochondriac (he goes though months where he swears he's going to die. When I was young, he wanted my Dad to dig him a hole in the back yard for a grave, because he was sure he was done for. He's been pretty good on that aspect for a while though) But nah, besides that. My sister wants him to see a counselor, but he wont do it. We just have to put up with the crazy.

^^ Quiet time alone is a good thing. Smile A whole weekend of it was more than I liked (surprisingly), but it's still great to just do what you like without hearing anyone's opinion on it. Wink

I think I'll take the bus to my interview tomorrow rather than borrow the car. The interview is at 1:00, but I'd have to take the car early in the morning (to drop G off at work), and they're predicting black ice and some snow by then. The less the car is on the road, the lower the chances of some numbskull sliding into it. Going by bus means I'll get to my interview pretty early, but there are worse things than killing time at a science museum.

I actually enjoy spending time with Michael. I don't like it when he goes out tongue
But then again, he doesn't have many friends he hangs out with.
And when we are together, we do our own things anyway.

There was either a squirrel or a really big mouse stuck in the wall/ceiling in one of my classrooms today. Apparently it was the second day that it was up there. I'm not sure why they don't take down some of the ceiling tiles and get it out of there. Catching it and taking it outside is a lot better than listening to it for a few days and then smelling it rot for a few weeks after that.

Because people to confine things they consider "icky" instead of actually dealing with the problem. If it's a squirrel, it will probably find its way out.

Not necessarily, both those rodents can dig in, since their both very group/family oriented animals. That noisy little one could be a scout making room for more, or a soon-to-be mother building a nest.

Very true. But if it had just accidentally got stuck in the ceiling, it can find it's way out since they are pretty intelligent creatures.

^^^I'm not sure how it got in, but it was in both the ceiling and the wall. I'm questioning whether it can find it's way out since this room is on the third floor and where the animal is is probably really dark.

I've been using the TV as background noise during my artwork again, and tried to find something I'd not care about watching as to not distract me. So I put on the E-channel since I figured I wouldn't give two about their trite programs...wrong. One show really got me thining because of how much I disliked everything about it.

    Fashion Police.

My thoughts; how is it that the big thing in gay culture right now is stating: "It gets better", as to reinforce that all the bullying and negative thoughts about homosexual life during one's youth is something you'll move past and than life gets better. Bullying is wrong, and it needs to stop, etc etc. But then a fashion show, which gay personalities are featured and gay artists are guests or their creations are subjects; is a non-stop parade of insults and mean-spirited comments. Fashion Police are bullies, and I'm sure that they'll say it's all in good fun, but that's what the shits who verbally and physically bully people always say; "I didn't mean nothin by it, it was just a joke". That's just hypocritical.

Also thought by me; fashion artists have always complained over their arts are always the least respected and ignored of the arts. Well, maybe it's because the jaded sense of entitlement and self-importance shown in the establishment and cliques of schools of fine arts is the most severe in fashion. Nowhere else is the creator of an artwork, the gallery displaying the artwork, and the person who chooses to purchase the artwork subject to the most loathsome and petty of insults.

I agree. This is the type of dichotomy that occurs when a group is in the process of working toward increased mainstream acceptance: there are those who represent the advancement of the group, and at the other end of the spectrum there are those who represent the worst of the preconceived notions; they are walking stereotypes and fodder for the group's haters. Other examples: say, intelligent women versus high-maintenance bimbos, or socially-conscious members of ethnic groups versus their violent brethren.

Again, I agree. And frankly, that overblown sense of self-importance gives the rest of the arts a bad name. It's bad enough in the realm of visual arts, but yeah, high-end designers essentially represent entitlement-on-steroids. I think I've mentioned this before, if so I apologize: There's a consignment shop near my old work that sells gently-used high-end designs. My mother-in-law bought an Elie Tahari jacket there for me, and while it seemed to be of nice quality, it's hard to ignore the "Made in China" label inside -- proof that the high initial cost is wrapped up in the brand name, not in the workers' wages.

Society is fighting the homophobia but since teen suicide rate is so high (the common denominator is that the teens were bullied based on their presumed homosexuality regardless whether or not they truly are gay), you have to send a message saying that once you get out of high school, most people don't give a flying f**k about your sexuality. Just letting vulnerable teens know that they are not alone and that life does get better helps decrease the suicide rate.

I think its kind of hypocritical, its like their saying, "once you're out of school things get better so dont kill your self... Oh, and don't try to get married either because thats f**king sickening and we can't have that. But yeah, things are so much better"

Who says the gay community is against gay marriage?
