 | Subject: Home decor, furnishing, etc sites? Wed Nov 09, 2011 11:36 pm | |
| Hey guys!
It has been a long time since I was last on talking to all you lovely folks, and now I can really use your help!
I moved August 2010 to Washington state from Florida, and I got rid of nearly all my house stuff. I have been living with family the last year and change. I am hoping to move out and get my own place in the next couple months, but I need the necessities for living on your own. I am also having trouble finding things to my aesthetic.
Does anyone know any good sites or shops to find pretty lovely dark things for home use?
In return Nifty art |

| Hey Shortpsycho! Congrats on your move -- you're in a beautiful part of the country, from what I've heard. When Gareth and I moved into our house in 2008, we were really short on cash b/c I had just had surgery, so we had to get creative with decorating. Literally. As far as wall art, we started out with items I made (collages, acrylic paintings, etc.) and also used adhesive vinyl decals (G works at a sign shop). For furniture, we scanned Craigslist (where I found a baker's rack for $25 -- the owner wanted to move it b/c she was moving out of state -- and G has found tables/magazine racks for free), tag sales, the Habitat for Humanity resale shop -- and overstock warehouses for appliances. But as far as finding items that are just right for you aesthetic-wise: buy cheap and refurbish. Repainting can transform a lot of stuff! Best of luck! |

| Thank you Red Angel! Great Ideas. I will definitely look out for pieces that I can remodel or fix up. |
