I've been into Deathrock for quite awhile now and has actually been the whole reason I got into the whole Goth scene in the first place... I've never really thought about it till now since no one around here really has a Mohawk let alone Deathhawk and the Deathrock scene has been kind of dieing down a bit lately and I just thought by getting one it would be a rather simplistic way to show my roots and what I'm about... Sorry if this seems like a bit of a stupid question(s) but do any of you have any tips for going about getting one or just styling it and personalizing it, etc? Idk, Deathrock is really underground and I haven't seen all that much information on it so I just thought I would ask you guys... Btw, I don't really wanna shave my sides bald I was thinking more along the lines of Rozz's or Mr.Sluts type of Deathhawk with the lightly colored sides contrasting with the darker colored hawk.. Although, I kind of want it to be a bit more even and still have the side corner bits rather then making it completely old school.. So yeah thanks in advance to anyone that reply's.

A deathhawk is somewhat easier to make stand up if you have chinlegnth hair with no layers.

(This will also hide the sides if they are shaved)

You need tons of hairspray,a flea comb from the pet store with metal teeth and a crimper.

First spray your hair (with old fashioned spray can hairspray not pump bottle spray) then crimp it while it's still wet and then begin backcombing (teasing) the hair with the metal tooth comb.

The backcombing is very,very hard on your hair it's why most people with hawks don't put them up all the time.

After spraying,crimping and backcombing for a long time your hawk will start to take shape.

It's time consuming and hard to do,I think it's why hawk isn't a common sight anymore.
