Finally got some good news on my Mom. It seems like she's finally coming out of her coma First her eyelids started to flutter, before one eye opening just slightly. I came up to her, and her eye followed me, then just looked. Her face started to contort, making her cheeks move up and down. I think she became more aware of the breathing tube in her throat. Also three fingers moved that day. It's little things, but things that she hasn't done in three weeks. It really renewed the hope in my family, also. The only bad thing is that her infection (although one is gone) is still alive and doing well inside of her. But for a woman who went though death and back (twice) it doesn't seem like that big of a deal (although it is!).

^^ That's very positive news! I hope her progress continues. It's worth it to have faith; there are elements of the body-mind connection that medicine doesn't yet thoroughly understand. When I was little, my mom came close to death herself due to infection. But she's been alive and mostly well since then. I say "mostly" b/c she's had unrelated health issues over the years, but nothing that's kept her from being happy to wake up each day.

I have an interview at this land of funkyness tomorrow morning: Accipiter On their application they requested I take an online version of the Myers-Briggs personality test, to see if I'm a good match for their shop. I'm ISFJ, according to the test.

I now have a job on campus. I'm a lab assistant in the Language Lab for three hours a week. Not that many hours, and I'll mainly just be sitting there or cleaning, so it's basically a study hall that I'm being paid to take

I finished drafting a full-scale pattern that I have due on Tuesday. It took longer than expected, but whatever. Now to hope that the muslin version of it comes out well.

I cleared out a bunch of junk from my guest bedroom and sewing room. My house feels so much cleaner without the junk--even before I get to vacuuming and cleaning. _________________ I'm a werewolf, not a vampire!

At the end of every month at work we have a prize wheel to spin. (prizes include PTO, company dollars, and gift cards) Whether you get to spin or not for the most part directly relates to your performance for that previous month. Won myself 5 hours of PTO and 10 company dollars. (Company dollars can be redeemed for various gift cards of your choice.) To add to it, I was given an additional spin by our big boss because I was nominated by the other people in my department for outstanding work last month. Notice of my badassery is spreading. ------- http://www.darkrealm13.com/viewtopic.forum?t=1870
