 | Subject: Help a stranger? Got some extra stuff to donate? Wed Jun 09, 2010 8:04 pm | |
| My husband Gareth has an online friend whose apartment has burned down. Her basic needs, and those of her roommate (food, shelter in a hotel, some clothing), have been met thanks to the Red Cross, but essentially 95% of their possessions are now either unusable or gone. Gareth and I plan to put together a package for them, just some things we don't need but that will help them get back on their feet. They can't take donations right now b/c they have nowhere to put anything, but they hope to have moved into a new place in a couple weeks (they're still looking; they're in the NJ area), and at that time they can start to rebuild their collection of belongings. Full info here. There's a timeline near the bottom of the page. If you can help, great. If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me and I'll do my best to get answers. Thanks. |

| Well being that I'm in Jersey as well, I'll look into this. I have two shows this week, one is the Fear Factory/All That Remains show, and the second is a wrestling event in Union City; so while I'm at these places I'll talk with people about helping donate money or home any spare home goods. |
