Ok this is sort of REALLY important...
With my aunt & cousin(s) coming here I dont want her or the kid on my computer (and my mother doesn't want her snooping on hers either). I have an external on one comp for storage/security but the other comp & laptop have nothing so I want to lock it down. How can I make it so a passwords needed to use the computer?
oh my! something I have completely no idea about on the computer, how could I let this happen

Well, depending on what operating system you're using...
Windows, go into the control panel and select User Accounts.. From there you should be able to make a guest account and set passwords for all accounts.

You could always un plug it say its broken... However I dont see why youd need to secure your computer I mean its yours tell them they cant use it. should solve the problem easier then troubleing your self with pass words.. Some times its just best to put your foot down and say no.

doesn't much matter now that they can't be here got to un sticky this... Reading" tell them they cant use it" and "put your foot down and say no" was really funny, I know its not meant to be but for me it is. Not because I couldn't say it but because I might as well not say it at all because they'd still use it the first second they had the chance just to poke through my stuff
