The school accidentally put me as a freshman in some departments. So I went to financial aid to get it corrected. Because of that they are giving me an extra $1,000 because I am a sophmore. (I'm really supposed to be a junior but not all of my credits transferred) Not only that but after talking to my advisor she was saying I might actually be able to be done with my degree sooner then I thought.

I'm happy b/c it was a busy day, for a change.

I'm happy because so far today hasn't sucked and I'm going to be making steak for dinner. Yay for having family buy you food.

Got the Autumn/Halloween Victorian Trading Co. catalog. I can't buy anything this time, but it's fun to look.

We've got friends & their kids staying with us this weekend. All the cleaning is worth it. Looking forward to that -- we'll probably go to the science museum, which has a butterfly conservatory.

And payday, thank God!

^^I got that catalog too yesterday. It's gorgeous! I have a huge shopping list of stuff to get from there...too bad I'm broke. Maybe my husband can get some stuff from there for my birthday in October? LOL

I'm really happy because even though it sucks waiting for a package my brother sent me, after the mail gets here I can go home. I'm so excited to be able to go home and see my dogs, my man and my friends.... oh and get to sleep in my own bed.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but anyone who is on the east coast that had to deal with all the flooding & such from the hurricane, I hope everything is being well taken care of & that you're all safe!

I'm just so happy to be home. I don't want this feeling to end.

I finally got a studio today! I'm sharing it with two other bad*ss ladies, and it's pretty spacious (though we'll see how long that lasts once we all bring our fabric and equipment into it...) I finally won't need to worry about fitting sleeping, living, and working quarters into a single room.

My teacher found my thumb drive with all my work on it. It isn't lost. Now I just need to make an extra trip out tomorrow to go get it.

It's the weekend and I'm home! Going out with the Fella in a little while.

Well first of all it's nice that I don't have anything to complain about today. Secondly it was nice to be able to sleep in for a very long time today. Lastly the music choice my zune is picking is making me smile.

I got the Travis County Medical Assistance Program card- which means I went to a doctor about my severe asthma and thyroid disorder and got the appointment for 10 bucks and the $65 worth of meds for $14. There wasn't even a wait at the clinic, and the doctor was really personable, which surprised me, being government funded in part.

Saving on health care freed up some cash to buy spider-web print press on nails at Walgreens. I don't know if it's finally being able to breathe or having pretty fingies, but I'm in a super mood.

I'm happy because I had a nice healthy dinner, I feel better and refreshed, and I painted my nails black. It was the hard as nails so my nails are getting healthier with the paint as well.

I have today and tomorrow off.

I'm happy that I got to sleep in again today. Lately I haven't been able to. It's nice to be able to get rest. I know my weekend schedual is going to drastically mess with my weekly schedual. I'm not sure how that is going to work out.

I spent the day with my brother and his family in Waterbury, CT. Since my bother moved there about a year ago I haven't seen him as often as I used to. It's an hour and a half drive from my house, which all things considered isn't really that far. My husband and I really need to make the effort to go there more often. Anyway, I had a really nice time.
