| DCGG: I feel very much the same as Emma. And I'll add my congrats. I understand your apprehension, wondering if he's doing this mainly b/c he's worried you two might not last through your college years. I think I'd tell him, I love you and I know you love me, and we'll be together always if that's what's meant to be for us. You two have love and trust. Rings and papers don't affect that; they're beautiful traditions, but you've got the important things covered already. It could also be that he's not acting out of worry; he might just be thankful you're in his life and also want to spend a lifetime making you happy. Again agreeing with Emma: three months does seem soon, but only the two of you know what's right for you. And don't go by me; I waited 10 years. But waiting till after college makes sense for many reasons: financial, building stronger self-confidence, and it gives the 2 of you time to go through many ups and downs, and experience to work things out regardless. That way you'll have confidence in the strength of your love for one another. |

| Congrats Mrs. D
Yes I understand what you guys are saying. My sister-in-law jumped down my throat saying it is way too soon for me to accept that ring and I should just tell him to give me a promise ring instead. As the day went on I thought about it more. It would be rude of me to tell him no to his gift. He knows I want to wait. So I see it right now as when he wants to give me the ring I will accept it and the question that goes along with it. But it isn't something set in stone. If things change over the next two years I can always give the ring back if the worst happens. But if the worst doesn't happen then saying no now would be a slap in the face. |

| My uncle's party turned out alright. The party started at 7 and we were an hour and a half late because my dad had to work. By the time we got there some were already leaving. I said hello to everyone and by the time we sat down and ordered pretty much everyone had left. Also my aunt had been drinking so she was very nice for the little time I saw here. |

| I just noticed my hubby did some cleaning in the living room and kitchen. He must have done it late last night or earlier today when I was still sleeping. That never happens! LOL I'm glad he's finally pitching in. |

| I've been eating healthier for the past week or so, and it's been making me feel great! Not to mention, it's been super-yummy an has forced me to experiment with cooking methods I don't normally use, like steaming. No more sugary drinks, much less oil and salty bullion, no sweets; just fruit, veggies, tofu, nuts, spices, water, and tea.
Last night I had steamed tofu in a sesame-miso sauce, a bed of steamed spinach and asparagus, and some teriyaki seaweed strips. |
