"Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes," Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media. Sedighi is Tehran's acting Friday prayer leader.

I have a modest proposal.

Sedighi claims that not dressing modestly causes earthquakes. If so, we should be able to test this claim scientifically. You all remember the homeopathy overdose?

Time for a Boobqauke.

On Monday, April 26th, I will wear the most cleavage-showing shirt I own. Yes, the one usually reserved for a night on the town. I encourage other female skeptics to join me and embrace the supposed supernatural power of their breasts. Or short shorts, if that's your preferred form of immodesty. With the power of our scandalous bodies combined, we should surely produce an earthquake. If not, I'm sure Sedighi can come up with a rational explanation for why the ground didn't rumble. And if we really get through to him, maybe it'll be one involving plate tectonics.

I'd laugh at the theory if it didn't inspire such anger. How transparent, these attempts at control through shame and "piety" (no quote marks big enough for that one).

^^ Well, there are the ones who put themselves in danger in protest of Ahmadinejad's reelection (reappointment?) -- some of them did die in their attempt to prove that they wanted a different form of leadership. Anyway, I guess I should plan an outfit for Monday.

Oh my lord let me long story of doom begin.

First off when people first came around..... They didn't have clothes like we think of today. Most of them probably ran around naked. (aha I found out what happened to Atlantis. Those horny dirty little b*stards running around all nakie like.) But seriously, do you know how many nudist colonies are in Florida? If this was really the case I think all the saggy nakies running around would be hanging out with the Atlantians in their dirty little world under the sea.

Next, we have all seen little miss whore pants that can't keep her privates private. We have all wished god (or whatever name you would like to replace your greater power as) would strike them dead for being little sluts carrying around diseases that are killing most of our generation. That doesn't happen though. So if our own God won't strike them down while they are walking down the street, I don't think the higher power would make an earth quake that would kill tons of innocent people to get revenge. Is said higher power a kindergardener with you made me upset so I get you back? I don't think so. Every higher power I have heard of is to respectible to do that.

Last I accept this challenge. I'm not going to be showing my privates that I want to keep private (except for one person ) but I will wear my nice cleavage showing tank top, one of the night out with the girls skirts, and either my punk boots or my sexy heels. Hmmm.
