You know what pisses me off? I have two really good friends (a couple) who always invite us over for dinner and what not. What kills me is that they sparsely furnished their house with mickey mouse Ikea furniture. I could understand if they were young kids just starting out on their own, but these are two established professional adults in their 30's with good incomes. I should not have to fear sitting at their dinner table because the chair might break under me. Or when they invite groups over, the people shouldn't fight over the only three seats (the sofa - which is super uncomfortable, by the way) in the house.

Geeze! Buy a real dining table! Get another couch for the house if you like having lots of people over.

^^ No kidding! If people plan on entertaining, then they should make their place as hospitable and comfortable as possible. Part of extending hospitality is maintaining that sense of consideration for guests.

Hey, wanna laugh? Now G's mom wants to come visit next weekend, too! When did we get so popular? We told her we wouldn't have room b/c of the friends & kids we're inviting, so she said she'd just come down for a few days during this week. And stay in the guest room we're trying to fix up for our weekend guests, naturally! Not to mention, y'know, we'll be at work. (She said she's just "do her own thing" during the day, but it still feels weird.)

I have another new baby cousin today. The other one was born 7 months ago and my cousin samantha adopted kylee from her sister because she wasn't taking care of it. Today samantha had her first baby at 9:57 this morning. His name is Logan. I'm so happy for her. Ever since we were kids she always wanted to have a son. Now she has a boy and a girl.

It is super hot today.

It's nice not having roommates around so I can watch what I want on tv.

Cmu is trying to help me out to take the least amount of classes I can to get to my degree and make things easy for me. My old college on the other hand is screwing me over because in stead of letting me take the easy route they want me to jump through fire hoops.

i think I hate cats know. Taking care of 5 kittens is not fun.

Tonight has been an interesting one. I'm not sure if my eyes have been opened from it, but it definately is making me think a lot.

Knowing that family and friends love me to the point they will walk the extra mile for me means everything. In other words... PRICELESS

Getting to see my dog brightened up the entire day. I can tell that he is very happy. So am I.

I want to plan something spectacular for my birthday in October. It's the week before Halloween. I was thinking about a pirate themed party, but the idea wasn't popular with my friends. Sigh. Maybe I'll just give up the spectcular and just have a fancy dinner at a swanky restaurant in Manhattan.

Pirates are so cliche these days why not go for something that would surprise everyone who knows you maybe a complete opposite to what they would expect? A Hawaii theme perhaps bright and lively?
