I found this to be a very interesting video and fairly relevent in todays world with issues like terrorism talk of police states and the oh horrible big brother. I remeber seeing the original milgrams experiment when I was in my early 20tys and taking psychology many people were disturbed by the concept of how people blindly followed an authoity figure and would willingly inflict pain for what they precieved as the greater good.

I will warn some people it can be quite a bit disturbing. What i found most amazeing is out of the 12 people they tested only three objected to the point of refuseing to go forward while 9 other parcipiants willingly went on.

Its sort of disturbing to think that possibly good people would inflict pain while defering to an authority figure or for the belief its for the greater good..

Strange, I just read about that experiment in a book.
It is awful that so many continued the experiment even when the other person was screaming in pain, begging for the shocks to stop. I would refuse to do the experiment the moment I knew it used electric shocks.

I'm still working on getting these vids viewed, but I do want to go ahead and post...

Of those that continued on... just how many would have continued or would have even
agreed to begin the testing had they been told that after they were done being the inflictor,
they were going to do a switch around places with the inflictee?

This is a well documented phenomenon. That is why Milgram's experiment is so famous. This also gives some vindication to Nazis who killed because of the higher authority; I also think Dr. Zimbardo conducted a similar experiment where on set of students were given authority over another set in a prison experiment, and the ones with authority took it way over the edge by physically abusing the others.
