Yes, it would have been a good idea but card-carrying fat girls really hate wearing belts. Had I known the risk I was taking, I would have suffered the discomfort... crazy

I guess I'm not fat enough to feel that much discomfort when wearing a belt.

My advice when wearing a corset is to always wear something underneath it. The extra garment can not only prevent such embarresments such as showing off the breasts, but also protects the corset from sweat and oils that can damage it.

Haha, yes, I was quite hefty back in the day. Its quite nice to be able to wear them now!

And, yes, you get your corset advice from the pros--the ladies who wore chemises for hundred of years.

I've had a life time of bad hair days.
My hair has a cowlick in the back of my head and another cowlick smack dab in the front center and as a kid my parents would always get the hairdresser to cut me bangs which was pointless since the cowlick always separated them down the middle. I was too young to know the wonders of aqua net. Bless their hearts my parents just weren't into fashion or hairstyling so I had no guidance and no clue what I was doing on my own and left the house in the most horrible get ups imaginable.

My hair is really frizzy when I pull it back, so when I was younger I thought I could solve that problem. When it came to hair gel, I would put a silver dollar amount in my hand and sleek the frizzies back. I ended up putting so much in, my hair would be glued to my head like a helmet. In the morning I would be able to just wet my hair and the gel would restick it all over again. It was very embarressing when I took my hair out of my pony tail.

One day on my way to high school, I didn't have any pants to wear. I found some cut off tripp pants I had on the floor that were made into shorts. I didn't remeber why I didn't wear them anymore. So I put them on and ran off to school. Well when I got to school I remembered why I didn't where them anymore. On the inside of the pant leg, there was a rip from the end of the leg to the crotch. It was embaressing to have to explain why I had to sign out to go home for 5 minutes.

Well, I may have mentioned this before, but once when I was in high school, I was merrily skipping out of a class, when my boot got caught in the back of my skirt. When my foot finally hit the ground, my skirt had been pulled all the way down my bum, and my English teacher and a few students got a nice glimpse of my panties.

Another school-based malfunction happened a few days back. The weather was cold and dry, so my rings were a bit looser than usual. I was in my written communications class, with a window open. A breeze came through, and started to move my papers. As I lunged forward to catch them, one of my rings flew off my finger and hit my professor. That was embarrassing...

Last summer, my friends were climbing up a tree in my backyard. I decided to join them, but I'm really not very good at tree climbing. I grabbed onto a branch in an attempt to scale the tree, but ended up hanging upside down, with my skirt in my face, and my panties fully exposed.

Back in the 80's I once went out wearing way too much white face powder. I didn't realise until it was pointed out to me that my face was luminous!

I also had a bad experience at work when I went downstairs to reception to greet a client, stepped into the room and my poorly fitting shoe shot off my foot and whacked the client in the shin blush

Just don't ask me about the suspender belt incident!!!!!! whistle

I wore leggings under a short dress the other day. The leggings were a size to big for me, and they kept slipping down. It was embarassing and I kept having to grip the legging waistband through my dress to keep them from completely coming down. blush

DarkDreamer, that's awful! I find wearing hot pants underneath my skirts does the trick, just in case i'm clumbsy and something bad happens. Wink

Mrs. D, you have me curious now about the suspender belt incident. Very Happy

Aww Diva, I had the same experience once. Now when I wear those leggings I put safety pins on them. Very Happy

I'm the opposite. I only own blue jeans, but they're kwik jeans, so they have very wide legs. I only own one pair of normal jeans that I wear when I want to scare people by dressing somewhat average. tongue

The suspender belt was way too big for me and ending up tripping me up when it fell down around my ankles! I was only 15 at the time and trying to impress. Needless to say I did not impress in the slightest.

Oh yes I'm sure we all have and we don't learn by getting older. I bought a rubber skirt with the sides hook and eyed together last year. It was floor length and obviously made for a size 0 figure with no curves. It went into the charity bag today along with a shed load of other things that I have bought and never worn. At least my buying folly may make some money for deserving people

Very true. I bought these pants for a size 4 years ago hoping i'd slim down. Finally going to the Salvation Army to give them away. There's no way i'm going to try to even fit into those.

This is why I try not to keep too many colors in the house:

I was getting dressed this morning and put on a deep plum colored top, a black skirt and what I thought were black tights. It's freezing outside so I decided to wear a thick pair of black leggings under my skirt to keep my warm during my commute to work. I got to my office, and peeled off all my layers, only to discover my tights are actually a very bright blue-violet! shock My purples don't match! blush
