| Just starting a thread for international stories... most likely to be political in nature.
My first one is this:
Greece's Financial Trouble and I'm still looking for some other articles with it, but one of the posted comments suggests that Greece might be ejected from the EU/Eurozone. |

They could opt to do bull fights like some others that hold them are doing.
I'm not all up on it, but from the little I do know, they put a ribboned ring around on the horns to steal from the bull. Supposedly from what I heard the bull isn't injured and goes on to live out an honoured long life. I think I remember the narrator saying they are put to graze pasture when they are older.
*Some might consider this not to be a good thing either, but considering he could be turned into burgers instead of a hopefully pampered star..
eeh.. star / pet
From the one I saw part of on Tv, it sort of.. made me think of when people play tug of war with their dogs. When the Matador's aloted time was up without getting the ring, the bull pranced off the arena with a rather proudness.
I bet there are Bull fans as well as there are Matador. |

| I'm with the bull on that one and not with the pathetic little men who hope to attain fame by attacking an animal. _________________ Well, the Devil he taught us how to rock and then he turned us loose |

| I wasn't sure where else to post this. Boston's part of the world. This sounds like bribery. |

That's such BS! I can't belive they're doing that. It defeats the purpose of community college. Sounds like they're selling degrees outright.
EDIT: I guess all colleges and universities sell their degrees if you think about it, but they're not that obvious about it. |

| It's been happening for hundreds of years- it's just weird to see a school be honest about it.
My dad was poor and his brother was rich. Each of them had daughters. My little sister got into UT on her 4.0 gpa and volunteer work. I spent half of high school stoned and could only get into Texas State. My cousin had worse grades than I, but she got into Texas A&M... on nothing related to merit. It still disgusts me. I graduated TxS in 4 years with merits, and she spent 8 years drinking her way through school. She never failed out... because my uncle could pay. |

| ^^ God, it is so sad. I heard about it this morning... I can't imagine. Saw a clip of women holding hands and singing at the memorial. |
