^^ Yes, definitely. It would not come from a Gothling in the true sense of the word. An attribute of being Goth, I believe, is to be motivated to self-educate. She sounds more like someone caught up in a trend.

I just worry that our culture is so fast-paced that young people don't bother learning any history, even art or literary history. That's what makes me really upset -- there's a wealth of knowledge and apparently little interest. I want to say to them, "So much existed before you did -- find out all you can! And no, there's no app for that!" I know that opinion makes me sound (and feel) ancient.

^^Exactly why I am so fustrated with my generation. They are all so superfisal and dumb! They only think aobut the now and how it will make them look "cooler" for the lack of a better word. and unfortunatly there are people dumb enough to write this letter.
