We all know about things like "baby bat" and "uber-goth" but what are some other goth phrases or words you use or have heard?

    Gothtabulous, gothtastic

One of my very dear friends described me as the former and I used the latter to sell some things on ebay. They sold like hotcakes

Gothic slide: A characteristically gothic dance move in which your boots do not leave the dance floor as you glide across it by moving your feet. Somewhat like the footwork in the movie Footloose, but much more chaotic.

"Oh so gothic": 1) A sarcastic phrase to express one's opinion of something as Goth-worthy i.e. "I see you have all of the Bauhaus albums on vinyl. That's oh so gothic of you," or "Those skull shaped candle holders are oh so gothic." 2) A sarcastic phrase for those who take fitting the image of being gothic too seriously. Say it with a really cheesy English upper-class accent to add emphasis.

"Oh the angst of it all": A sarcastic phrase used to mimic Goths who take themselves too seriously and are constantly brooding. To add emphasis when saying it, put the back of your hand to your forehead and look like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.

"Having your goth card revoked"- doing something that is "not goth" and joking that you can't be a goth anymore because of it. Have an iPod full of indie with only a sprinkling of Siouxie? Your goth card is hereby revoked. Have an orange cat rather than a black one? Revoked.

"Spot the goth"- I have a weird friend who plays this game; basically it's looking out for goths while you go about your daily business.

    Frillybutt or Rufflebutt- a Lolita.

    KinderGoth.

A friend used to call me that too (even though I'm not a KinderGoth and had to explain to a dismayed Goth what she meant when she called me that in a group of Goths) because my feet are so tiny, so she said I was like a child...hence, KinderGoth.

There are a bunch of terms for saying a group of goths... I've heard "a Gaggle of Goths" and "a Gloom of Goths" before.

Gothlings is another term for young goths.

Also, using goth as a verb is something I adore doing. To "goth" is either to just act all mopey, or to do something that screams "way too goth"- like reading Poe by candlelight, wearing black velvet, glass of wine in hand, while Black Tape For a Blue Girl plays softly in the background. Not that that's a bad thing.

I remember the first time I ever heard A Gaggle of Goths - in Volatire's song The Vampire club.

To this day that song still makes me roll with laughter.

"A Gaggle of Goth is a peaceful site, they'll do anything to avoid a fight..."

I think of a Babybat as someone who is in their pre-or early teens (12-14) and maybe likes some goth things but doesn't really understand what it's all about. They may or may not evolve into a true goth.

I think of a Gothling as a young goth (teens) who already does know what it's all about.

    Thoughts?

I've always thought of young Vampire Goths as Babybats.
All other young Goths as Gothlings.

I do use the term Gothlings to refer to Babybats also.
