| I am going to this tomorrow I wanted to wear my victorian underwear, my gasmask and a crinoline with some stripey tights but I couldn't use the workshops at college to make one so I'm kinda stuffed. Anyone have any idea or inspiration they can throw at me? As mad as you like, my wardrobe is huge so just shout away or throw images at me, what ever! Thank you Synth xxx |

| It's a steampunk special.... yet only one in the picture really looks steampunk..
I'd think that anything victorian you'd have would work...
Though something like this would look pretty sweet.
Ermm.... maybe some riding pants with boots.... gloves.... tons of trinkets/accessories. |

| Synth, do you have any old clocks or watches (not digital) you can take apart? I'm thinking you can use the gears to string up a necklace, hair ornament, or just to sew onto a belt or skirt. |

| The point of Steampunk is DIY! You don't need money, just creativity! |

| The problem with DIY is that it can get quite costly. _________________ I'm a werewolf, not a vampire! |

| I am a firm believer that the cost of DIY is directly proportional to the amount of creativity and ingenuity invested in the crafter. |

| ^ That does have a lot to do with it, but I think it can be as inexpensive as it can be costly.
I think it depends on personal tastes in regards to the types of material you want to work with, luck of the $ in finding bargins and how much time you have or want to wait in finding things at a cheaper price before starting or finishing a project-creation. |
