| I'm waiting for matt to get here and then we are going to go out to eat. I don't know where we are going yet. It's been a long day. I've had non stop calls. Calls from the community center about trying to work with the police and needing info from me. Calls from work for an interview that I couldn't go to. Calls from matt because he had to rush his dad to the hospital this morning. Long classes. So yea. |

| Pulling a *headdesk*. I needed a few questions answered about weatherization, so I found a supposed "green" forum to ask them on. Oi! Big mistake! Just browsing, it was clear that everyone there had a way different idea of environmentalism than I do; the idea that consumption will somehow save us, and that you can't be part of their exclusive greenie club lest you have solar panels and a prius, and remember your reusable bag every time you shop (yet live in an oversized suburban house, drive 45 miles to get to work everyday, and are always buying all sorts of useless and indulgent things from chain stores...) Forums like those make me remember why I love you guys so much; no b!tchery, no drama, no exclusive "gother-than-thou" club. |

I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but I know it hurts when you don't know where you stand with a friend. I've seen my husband deal with it, and I've dealt with it too. Some friends recede from one's life, for good or stupid reasons. And some come back, and are open about why they drifted. The ones that don't come back, well, the loss is theirs.
The ones worth keeping are the ones with whom you haven't felt that drifting away -- even if you don't talk for a while, you know they're still your friends. And even if you have disagreements, you can talk them out and move on. Those friends are like extended family.
Friends receding from your life give you more time with real friends. So let 'em drift; where they land is up to them.
You know, I still remember posting over the summer about a bunch of things that made me feel like garbage, and how you helped me unpack all that negativity and put it to rest. I really appreciated that. That's an attribute of a good friend, I think. |

| ^^Yes, but it'd help if those real friends didn't live an hour away.....
And while we're on topic, I kinda' wished I lived in a different time, or that I had more sway with people. I would really like one of those "friends" that I emailed to learn exactly why the saying is "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." |

| Waiting for Michael to come home from work. I bought us some veggie subs and I'm hungry. But I wanna be nice and wait for him. So I might watch an Asian tv drama to pass the time. |
